The Yoga Monkeys, yoga for kids program is a "mobile" kids yoga studio that offers classes at daycare centers, preschools, primary schools, after-school enrichment classes, yoga studios, parks, recreation centers, camps, community/youth centers, mother's/community organizations, and comes to your home for private children's and family yoga instruction.
Our mission is to share the gift of yoga and enlighten little minds, bodies and hearts throughout the world!
We also offer keynote and professional presentations/ workshops for schools, classroom training, and conferences.
As well, we offer birthday parties and group lessons for your class, troop, mom's organization, and any other associations that support kids health and family fitness.
Benefits of Yoga for Babies, Kids & Teens
During a child's formative years, and beyond, it is important to build self-esteem, self-awareness, and to strengthen the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga teaches babies, children, and teens about how their bodies work, develop, and change as they grow. It also develops body awareness and experience in uniting the mind, body and spirit, which provides a foundation for well-being throughout children’s lives.
Babies, children, and teens who practice yoga may be better able to bond with others, naturally increase their immunity, regulate their emotions, deal with stress, and calm their minds and bodies, as well as engage in more physical activity than those who do not.
Today’s youth are suffering from a lack of connection to their self, bodies, minds, and to the world in which they live. Yoga facilitates connection and union between all of these. Yoga will provide babies, children, and teens with tools for life-long balance and well-being.
